About Troy Dillard, MD
My Training and Commitments
As a certified life coach, I have completed extensive training in areas such as psychology, goal setting, and communication. I have been a physician for 15 years and bring extensive experience "in the trenches" to supporting healthcare providers build resilience, peace, equanimity and joy. I have experience in Christian contemplative practice, Yogic traditions and I have practiced Buddhism and mindfulness meditation for more than 35 years. I engaged in residential training at San Francisco Zen Center, took lay vows at Dharma Rain Zen Center in Portland, Oregon, and currently practice in the Vajrayana tradition at Kagyu Changchub Chuling in Portland, Oregon. I am a father and husband and understand well the joy, the challenges and the heartache that these relationships can bring. Compassion and commitment to your healing, growth and liberation are at the heart of all I do.

As a Life Coach, I believe in guiding my clients towards discovering their own inner strength, resilience and wisdom. I believe everyone has the ability to create a fulfilling and meaningful life, and I am here to help you achieve that.
Spiritual Life Coaching
As a Spiritual Life Coach, I believe in guiding my clients towards discovering their true nature, connecting with the sacred, overcoming the limitations of the self we create in the world, and experiencing the inherent wisdom, light and joy that are their birthright. We work toward achieving a true spiritual view, the insight and equanimity that arises from meditation and prayer, and skillful action in the world that is intentional, ethical, purposeful and meaningful.
